The gameification of the web has been underway, in my mind, for some time now. Pinning down exactly how it’s going to unfold is a bit tricky. So, I won’t try and do that. This is the first example of how I believe it’s going to happen. 

With varying degrees of implementation, this has the potential to get consumers talking about brands, products, etc. Rewarding customers for maintaining a network gets them talking and it’s pretty fun. Well, the way Mike Shollenberger (who setup the Facebook page I’m writing about) has experimented with Empire Avenue is fun, anyway. 

I had kind of given up on Empire Avenue (because I really didn’t have time to figure out how to use it, properly). Then, Mike invited me to his Facebook page. I started using it about a week and a half ago and, as you can see, my share-price has made a 360.
