I’ve been saying this for a while now, but I’m not sure many folks would agree. Linkedin, if they play their cards right, could be a $100 billion+ powerhouse. The recent announcement of President Obama answering questions from Linkedin members is a step in the right direction - to them becoming just that.

Linkedin’s conversation with the President is entirely different from Twitter’s sessions with him. For this reason: Presumably, the top business professionals, in the world, are connected on Linkedin. Now, I’m not going to get into the nitty gritty details of how I think they can increase their value from the initial IPO valuation of $4 billion to over $100 billion.

Only because I’m trying to get them to hire me. And no, this isn’t an over-exaggeration or ploy to try and get hired. In fact, it’d be rather silly of me to state something like this and not have a plausible blueprint to back it up. If Linkedin doesn’t take advantage of the opportunity they have in the market right now someone else will.

I’m so sure of this, that if anyone from Linkedin is reading this, I’m willing to work the first month free of charge. “If I’m wrong, nothing happens! We go to jail - peacefully, quietly. We’ll enjoy it! But if I’m right, and we can stop this thing… Lenny, you will have saved the lives of millions of registered voters.” That’s from Ghostbusters. And it makes the context of this article a little less dry. It also happens to be Saturday, so why on earth would I want to be writing something that would make people upset?

Actually, I’d work the first month free at any tech company that’s willing to listen to my ideas. Or, if there is an angel investor out there in the world that’d like to talk, I’m down.

It’s hard to connect to these folks when you (and by you I mean, me) live in Greenville, Wisconsin. For a comparative analysis: If you’re wondering where Greenville is - in relation to the booming tech companies of Silicon Valley - just go outside during the daytime and look up. Now, try and find the Big Dipper. You’ll probably have trouble locating its coordinates. The same goes for Greenville, Wi.

Remember this: Free 99. That’s what my pay would be for the first month.
